First of all, I'm in love with the title of this book! A book's appeal lies in its title, and I love that Kay Jay wants her readers to buy a book that's about others not buying her book! This is a marketing handbook for authors who want to self-publish their books and find an audience through authentic positioning, pricing, and marketing strategies. Kay Jay talks about her writing and publishing experience with her debut novel, 'Diary of Cliches'. She openly discusses the pitfalls of publishing and marketing as a new author, sharing the mistakes she has made along the way and the steps she has taken to fix them. She covers many areas of book marketing, including:
Understanding the Money Mindset of Users: It's important for writers to understand why people may or may not want to buy a book. This reader attitude is usually heavily influenced by pricing and value perception. Once a writer cracks the code to strategic pricing and value proposition, they'll have a bestseller in their hands!
NLP or The Science of Resonating with Readers: The importance of language in a book's appeal is explored comprehensively.
Book as a Source of Healing: Kay Jay highlights the importance of writing and its role in bridging the gap between readers and authors in terms of authenticity and vulnerability.
Community Building: She highlights the importance of creating an interactive experience for readers through active reader engagement with social media, book clubs annd Q&A sessions.
If you want to write a book or are navigating various marketing strategies to take your work to the readers, then 'Why is Nobody Buying my Book' is a perfect choice!
Engaging and concise, I'd rate this book 5/5.
